About Sanchia

Sanchia Hylton-Smith is a songwriter, vocalist, performer, trainer and public speaker.

Like all of her music, the album Midnight’s Pillow is an invitation to fall in love with life: its light and its shadows. Like Sandy Denny in conversation with Billie Holliday, Sanchia’s powerful, yet intimate, vocals give the impression she is singing just for you.

Sanchia is passionate about the healing power of song-writing: her business, Treefish Training, has a flagship project called Write Me, which supports people to connect with their innate musicality and to learn more about who they are, and what they want, through the medium of songwriting. Sanchia also teaches song-writing privately: contact her for more details.

She has appeared on BBC Radio Devon’s Pause For Thought, bringing her own unique brand of wisdom to bear on topics ranging from resilience to creativity. She also works for Exeter Community Initiatives, a local charity, running a resource for families and children.
